Selling your car at an ECA auction

Due to Covid-19, our auctions are currently streamed via the internet live. Potential bidders will still have the opportunity to view vehicles in person at our premises in Earlswood. All  viewings will be carried out with a member of our team present and proof of ID will taken from anyone wishing to view a lot.

Once all the details have been established and entry is confirmed, your vehicle will be promoted not only on our own website, but across various social media, internet and traditional platforms.

 

VALUATION

We assess the value of all entries based on the information and photographs you provide, so its vital that the information accurately reflects the true condition.  During your discussions with our team, if our estimate meets your expectations and you would like to proceed, then the terms of sale are confirmed and we will invite you to drop your vehicle off at our premises.

 

ENTRY

Once Terms and Conditions have been agreed upon and the vehicle has been delivered to ECA. Any relevant Entry Fee is taken, and then we will confirm receipt of your lot, any relevant paperwork and payment. Following this, we will organise for new photography of your lot and creation of marketing text.

 

ENTRY FEES AND CHARGES

Our selling fees are extremely competitive with our competition.

For cars that are ‘No Reserve’ there is no entry fee.

For cars where a reserve has been agreed, the entry fee will be £150 plus VAT.

Should your vehicle sell at auction, we will charge our standard seller's commission of 3% +VAT based on the hammer price your entry has achieved, with a minimum charge of £100 +VAT.

 

DELIVERY

You will need to arrange for the vehicle to be delivered to our premises in Earlswood, the address can be found on our contact page. The vehicle should arrive in a clean presentable and saleable condition. If your vehicle is deemed to require further cleaning/presentation you will be notified prior to any work being carried out. There will be a charge deducted from net sale proceeds. 

For those sellers who require assistance with transportation we have a logistics partner who will be happy to provide a quote.

Please ensure all history files, documentation and V5c’s are delivered with the vehicle. Any private plates not included in the sale must be put on retention.  

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

PAYMENT

Proceeds of your sold entry will be paid to you via bank transfer within a maximum of 14 working days after the auction date provided we have received the full purchase price from the buyer. We will settle with you the amount of the hammer price less any outstanding charges (including the fees we previously agreed).
